I live in South Carolina with my wife and four kids, and I am self-employed as a structural engineer and entrepreneur. Much of my time is spent with my family or at work. We get our strength from our Faith in Christ, and enjoy attending our local church. My hobbies include running and exercise, reading about business, and coming up with ideas and inventions.

Personally, I love running. I think that it is a great way to exercise as well as a good form of recreation. I have been running for many years, and I decided to share with all of you some of the things that I have learned over the years and what I am learning now. I am hoping this website will be a great way to share And, I hope that I am able to share some things that can help you to start running and stick with it.

The goal of Start Running for Beginners is to help you start running and stick with a regular program. Let’s face it, it can be difficult to get started running, and it is important that you do not get discouraged early. I am going to answer all of your questions about running so that you can get started as smoothly as possible. Do you have questions about proper running technique, shoes, schedule, or other things that beginners are unsure about? Great, I address those concerns in this site.
But, getting started is, well… only the beginning! I am sure you may know of someone who makes a New Year’s Resolution each year to start running and get into shape, only to quit within two-and-a-half weeks. (Or maybe that person was you! Don’t worry I will not tell). Well, we all know that staying with the program is where many people have troubles. So, In addition to answering your basic questions, I also will strive to motivate you to maintain a regular running program.
If you are able to stay with it long enough, the benefits will follow. Instead of dreading going for a run, you will begin to look forward to it. Eventually you will not want to miss your run. Eventually, you will become a Runner! During this time, you will see the many benefits of running pay off.
